Paul Greengrass Talking to Fear Index

He'll direct the Robert Harris thrillerHe shelves them up and knocks them lower: we already understood that Paul Greengrass' immediate next project may be the Somali pirates docudrama A Captain's Duty, but he's now set to follow along with it immediately with Fear Index, according to Robert Harris' financial thriller. Harris' novel is not even released yet, but Fox clicked in the privileges very the author had only written six sections once the studio got interested. Greengrass continues to be stated for that megaphone because the summer time, but it is only been confirmed, first by Harris themself, and subsequently by some Deadline fact-checking. Based on the blurb, Fear Index involves researcher Dr Alex Hoffman, that has invented an innovative artificial inteligence software that may perfectly predict stock-market fluctuations through monitoring human feelings (sounds a little just like a lower-level version of Asimov's psychohistory). Hoffman's Geneva-based hedge fund makes billions off the rear of his system, but a slide into paranoia and violence starts when his security alarm is breached with a mysterious burglar, threatening both his family and also the global real estate markets. It's fear on the micro and macro level! Fox, you can utilize that in your poster. Harris, who had been last modified for that screen in Polanski's classy political thriller The Ghost, is writing the script themself, with Peter Chernin (Rise From The Planet From The Apes) creating for their own Chernin Entertainment. The novel is released by Hutchinson on September 29 within the United kingdom, and early the coming year in the usa.
