Would you like to see a Gone with the Wind Remake?

Please read this before you say no.

The objections are:
1. Don't touch what isn't broken. If it's not broken, don't fix it,
etc.

A remake does not touch the original. You're not trying to replace the
original, it's just a new way to view it.

2. Nobody can replace Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh.

I agree. But I think done right, with all the actors out there, they
could probably come up with some decent replacements. Just because we
can't think of someone suitable right now, doesn't mean they aren't
out there. That's what auditions are for.

3. A remake will ruin it.

How exactly will a remake ruin the original? The original will always
be brilliant, nothing anyone does to any future interpretation can
ever change that.

I would love to see a remake. I read the book every few years. It's my
all time favorite book. There are so many scenes in the book that are
not in the movie. It would be nice if they remade Gone with the Wind
but maybe in a series of movies like Lord of the Rings. They did
amazing cutting back the book for the Original Movie. But I think it's
high time we had one with more scenes from the book!
